Whether you’re a full-time resident, a seasonal owner or renter, the Block Island Residents Association (BIRA) provides island residents with a voice on issues facing Block Island and shaping its future. With the support and input of our members, BIRA helps to advance the needs and wishes of our community to continue to make Block Island worthy of its designation by The Nature Conservancy as one of the “Last Great Places in the Western Hemisphere”.
Your membership in BIRA is vital in allowing us to carry out our mission effectively. As a longstanding organization of the Block Island community, established over 70 years ago, BIRA relies on membership dues and donations, as well as on input through surveys and other means to give you a voice on issues you care about — issues facing Block Island today and in the future.
