Safer Shore Access

In December 2015, the Town’s Shoreline Access Working Group presented a report to the Town Counsel identifying 6 out of 43 beach access points around the Island that need improvements “to ensure safe and easy access to the shoreline.”

BIRA has prioritized two of these points for immediate action – Andy’s Way and Grace’s Cove. To date, except for Andy’s Way, little has been done to make improvements to these access points. Although there is considerable work to be done to improve these access paths, we feel that it can be done without too much capital.

Thus our goal is modest. We hope to raise $25,000 in 2020. This manageable goal means that every gift is important! And every gift makes an impact. Please consider a gift. We all deserve safe beach access.
